Description:

Explore your interests in causes of crime, criminal behaviours, deviance, the criminal justice system, justice and punishment, policing, transnational crime, forensic mental health, crime and the media, social and public policy, as well as impacts of race/ ethnicity, gender, class and health.

As an interdisciplinary course you will have the opportunity to develop a critical and an analytical mind and explore issues from diverse theoretical perspectives. In the first year, you will be introduced to the intellectual foundations of both subjects and core skills in social sciences. The second year provides an opportunity to explore your interests through option units alongside the core units. The final year covers specialised areas and a research project of your choice.
